Victims' families welcomes apex court order, Hopeful for probe into killings
MANIPUR UPDATE NEWS/IMPHAL, July 08 :
Waiting the precise 'verdict' anxiously from the apex court of India pertaining to alleged extra-judicial execution of around 1528 people by the army and state forces in between the year 2000-2012, the victims' families and human right groups have are highly hopeful that the apex court verdict will be very good one for pulling ahead to justice.
"We warmly welcome the court verdict, as we are hopeful that the verdict will be good one. However, we not clear precisely about today's verdict made by the supreme court, but news from mainstream media have made it that court has directed for investigation in the case", said president of EEVAM (Extra Execution Victims' Families Association Manipur) Renu Takhellambam, whose has been has husband has been killed by security forces , today in press meet at Human Right Alert Office here in Imphal.
